Hi, I'm Alison! I'm an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist, with a Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and over 15 years of experience working with children diagnosed with a variety of developmental delays, learning disabilities and speech and language impairments. I believe in the power of play and strive to make every session joyful for the child.
As a parent of a child who has overcome speech issues, I understand the emotions. I'm here to support your family with guidance and a commitment to seeing your child reach their goals.
Communicating Kids Speech & Language specializes in early childhood, preschool and elementary school age children. We are a boutique practice that travels to provide speech, language and literacy therapy in the most natural environment for your family. Services are available in your home or your child's school, in our welcoming Alexandria , VA office and virtually throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.
