Welcome! Communicating Kids Speech & Language is a pediatric speech, language and literacy therapy practice located in Alexandria, Virginia providing in-home, school, and virtual speech therapy services.
At Communicating Kids Speech & Language we are passionate about helping children become confident communicators and strong readers. We understand how important it is for your child to clearly express themselves; to be able to share wants, needs, thoughts and ideas and to be able to connect socially with peers. Using evidence based methods we evaluate and treat speech, language and reading challenges empowering your child to reach their full potential. We work closely with your family providing feedback at every session to ensure that speech therapy is as effective as possible.
Hi, I'm Alison! I'm an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist, with a Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and over 15 years of experience working with children diagnosed with a variety of developmental delays, learning disabilities and speech and language impairments. Baby Sign Play Time
Baby Sign Play Time is a parent & toddler language enrichment class designed for children under 4. Through music, story time and play, little ones are exposed to new vocabulary and expand communication skills while spoken language develops.
Outdoor classes in the park are designed to be engaging, relaxed, and developmentally appropriate. Each session includes:
Music and movement
Story time
Social interaction with other families
Introduction to baby sign language
Communicating Kids Speech & Language travels to you to provide speech, language and reading interventions in the most natural environment for your family. Services are available in your home or your child's school, in our welcoming Alexandria , VA office and virtually throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.
