Communicating Kids welcomes inquiries from schools interested in providing speech and language therapy services. Our services include school contracting, comprehensive evaluations, speech-language therapy, screenings and language enrichment classes.
School Contracting
Evidence-based solutions are available for your school.
We provide effective, fun, online speech-language therapy services conveniently throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. In-person services are available in select Northern Virginia localities.
Research supports the effectiveness of telepractice in evaluating and treating a wide variety communication disorders including: articulation, receptive language, expressive language, literacy, stuttering and social skills. Communicating Kids delivers virtual services through a secure web-based videoconferencing platform. Sessions can be easily accessed using a desktop computer, laptop or tablet.

Speech and Language Screenings
Screenings are used to determine if speech and language skills are developmentally appropriate. During a speech and language screening a speech-language pathologist quickly and informally checks a child's speech and language skills to see if they are developmentally appropriate. If the speech-language pathologist suspects a delay or disorder a more comprehensive evaluation may be recommended.
Screenings are a valuable resource your school or daycare can provide for busy parents and we are happy to offer a discounted bulk rate per student screening to schools and daycares. Screenings are available to all students ages two and up in northern Virginia.
Inservice
Alison is able to speak to your school's teachers, staff and/or parents regarding speech and language development.
Language Enrichment Classes
Communicating Kids Speech & Language offers engaging classes for preschool age children. Ask us about our baby signing and early literacy skill offerings.
